J4P 1B5 Dear Jane, I have now hooked four rugs from your kits using two patterns, the Anderson and the Campbell of Cawdor.  Both patterns were simple, yet easy to follow, especially after I realized that it was a regular over and under type of weaving pattern that was used.  I found that if I marked the Anderson rug base with coloured marker, using the vertical colours on the scrim, with the horizontal colours on the edges, the hooking went more easily, because I didn't have to refer back to the original pattern as I hooked. The results were excellent.  The diameter of the yarn was uniform, cut well and hooked easily.  The colours of the yarns plus the patterns give an accurate duplication of the tartans.  I have given three of the rugs as gifts.
